The brain’s ability to change and adapt by forming new neural connections throughout life. This is basically the science way of saying “practice makes you better because your brain is rewiring itself.” When you learn a new skill or habit – whether it’s playing the guitar, memorizing vocabulary, or training yourself to focus without getting distracted – your brain’s neurons are firing in new ways and strengthening pathways. Over time, something that was hard can become easier because your brain reorganized itself to be more efficient at that task. Neuroplasticity is super encouraging: it means our brains are not fixed like concrete, but more like plasticine (clay) that can be molded. So even if you think “I’ll never get this,” biology says you actually can – with enough practice and the right strategies, your brain will adapt and you’ll improve.
